چکیده

Stereo vision is one of the most active research areas in computer vision for an accurate estimation of disparity. Many researchers have been undergone past from many decades to find an accurate disparity, but still it is not an easy task to choose an appropriate algorithm for the required real time application. To overcome from this problem we introduce an objective that evaluates a set of six known correlation based stereo algorithms. An evaluation of correlation based stereo matching algorithms results will be very useful for selecting the appropriate stereo algorithms for a given application. This work mainly focuses on the evaluation of disparity estimation, robustness to change in illumination, robustness to change in exposure.

Evaluation of Similarity Measures for Template Matching

Image matching is a critical process in various photogrammetry, computer vision and remote sensing applications such as image registration, 3D model reconstruction, change detection, image fusion, pattern recognition, autonomous navigation, and digital elevation model (DEM) generation and orientation. The primary goal of the image matching process is to establish the correspondence between two ...

Performance Evaluation of Local Detectors in the Presence of Noise for Multi-Sensor Remote Sensing Image Matching

Automatic, efficient, accurate, and stable image matching is one of the most critical issues in remote sensing, photogrammetry, and machine vision. In recent decades, various algorithms have been proposed based on the feature-based framework, which concentrates on detecting and describing local features. Understanding the characteristics of different matching algorithms in various applications ...

Prediction Error Evaluation of Various Stereo Matching Algorithms on Long Stereo Sequences

Prediction errors are commonly used when analyzing the performance of a multi-camera stereo system using at least three cameras. This paper discusses this methodology for performance evaluation on long stereo sequences (in the context of vision-based driver assistance systems). Three cameras are calibrated in an ego-vehicle, and prediction error analysis is performed on recorded stereo sequence...

Performance Evaluation of Stereo Matching Algorithms in the Lack of Visual Features

In this paper, we evaluate three different subcategories of image matching algorithms. We consider hierarchical matching, wavelet-based localized correlation and multiresolution subregioning. The importance of this evaluation stems from the fact that these algorithms are all somehow based on a multiresolution scheme, but exhibit different performances when dealing with featureless image pairs, ...

Fractured Reservoirs History Matching based on Proxy Model and Intelligent Optimization Algorithms

In this paper, a new robust approach based on Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) as a proxy model is used for an automatic fractured reservoir history matching. The proxy model is made to model the history match objective function (mismatch values) based on the history data of the field. This model is then used to minimize the objective function through Particle Swarm Optimization (...
